a) Reconnect the PS3 power cable. Unplug the PS3 power cable from the power source and wait for a while before fixing it back to the source. Reconnect the power cable fully. This will help you get rid of the slight issues interfering with your device. Plug back your power cable to the power source and turn the PS3 on. It is caused by the PS3 overheating. I’ve had this issue before as well and there are tons of guides on how to fix it. My best recommendation to you, if you feel comfortable enough to take it apart, would be to simply replace the thermal paste application on the CPU and GPU inside of the console.

Just make sure you do it while it's off and/or unplugged and WAIT 30-45 minutes before trying to turn it back on again. I resurrected a super slim that got the YLOD in the same way. But anyway, the reason it stopped working is the super slims are JUNK. They feel so cheaply made and flimsy compared to the prior models.
